The Hell Track Footdown Drome!!!
Here's a video of the first round of the Hell Track Footdown Drome! If you watch all the way through you'll see myself (Tom Briggs, in the plaid shirt with the hood up) vs. Swoo (plaid shirt without the hood) battling it out for the win. Swoo ended up walking away with this round but it was Andrew Flowers in the end who took the footdown drome crown for the evening and a new set of Hold Fast straps.

Hell Track Re-Cap
Hell Track from jose o on Vimeo.
Saturday night was one of the greatest bike events I've ever been to. Hell Track went off as a huge success with tons of people coming out, great races, sweet bails, the most epic game of footdown you've ever seen and some male nudity courtesy of our friend and member of the Revival crew, Toby Spunt. Hell Track was the brain child of Tom Mosher and for as long as I can remember he's been talking about doing this and trying to bring the Toronto fixed gear scene closer together and I can honestly say he succeeded way beyond any expectations I had. I don't have to results in front of me but Nick took home first place in the school sprints, landing himself with a new set of Velocity wheels, way to go dude! Our great buddy Swoo took home first in the best trick comp and grabbed himself a brand new Volume Fu Manchu Fork (Swoo Manchu is definitely his new nickname). Andrew Flowers was the man left standing, or riding that is in the footdown drome (100 men enter, one man leaves!(You had to be there)).All and all it was probably the best bike event in Toronto history from most peoples account and certainly rivaled any other city I've been to, including Vancouver, New York and Seattle. It's great to see a scene this large coming together and really just having a blast. Again a great job by Tom Mosher for throwing this event, it really was worth the wait.Video by Jose OPhoto's by Micah and Matt Rennick

Fonseca's NYC Journey
Craziness went down when Fonseca made his way out to NYC. Check out our boy Torey killing it at the Brooklyn Banks at the beginning of the vid. Jeremiah of Hold Fast and The Revival makes a few appearances on his new Brooklyn Element frame.

Hell Track!!!
Hell Track is finally here. Tom Mosher has been talking about this for about as long as I can remember and it's going to be awesome, with races, a best trick comps and the infamous foot down drome! If you're anywhere near Toronto on the 24th I suggest you make it out to this event, because it's going to be a blast. I personally can't wait.
I'd also like to apologize for the lack of posting around here lately. I've been crazy busy with filming for The Revival and just haven't had time to sit down and put something up on the blog. I will have a full re-cap of the Toronto filming coming in the next couple of days so keep your eyes peeled for that.

New WRAHW Interview
In case you missed it, our man Torey has been killing it with the interviews lately over at WRAHW. His latest victim is none other than Tom Lamarche. It sounds like Tom is getting back into the game in a big way after being sidelined with injuries for a while.

Revival Sneak Peeks!
Well The Revival filming is beginning to slow down a touch and editing is starting to heat up in a big way. Wayne is currently on his final trip to Seattle and tomorrow marks our final day of filming in the emerald city.
Here's a photo of Wayne's luxury tour bus, the greyhound. As you can see we travel in style here at The Revival. I'm sure Wayne is going to be happy to not have to jump on one of these again for a while.
So the rider list is set and we're piecing together the footage. I'm still amazed everytime I look at this list. The talent level is so overwhelming.
Here's a little sneak peek of John Prolly gettin' loose in Brooklyn. We're so stoked to have Prolly as part of the project! He's such a good dude, who does an amazing job representing fixed gear freestyle and the community around it.

Rafale Video Featuring Wonka
French electro band Rafale made a video with a bunch of the dudes from Empire. You can see Wonka shredding it in here hopping up stairs, doing a 3 tap and bunny hopping onto a car! Very cool stuff.

Tom Briggs Featured In 2010 Surly Catalogue
It was brought to my attention the other day that I was featured in the new Surly 2010 catalogue. A few months ago I was asked to stop by Bikes On Wheels (Toronto's best bike shop) to shoot a photo while riding one of their new Steamrollers (this thing was not set up for tricks, hence the leg over skid). Our good friend Ted Power shot the photo. Here we are a couple months later, and I'm now a poster boy for Surly bikes. Bikes On Wheels has been kind enough to host our Toronto premier for the Revival, details will be coming shortly here on the site. I would also like to put out there that I do not ride for, or am associated with Surly in any way, this was simply a favor for my friends at Bikes On Wheels.Cover
