Summer Series Round 2: Night of the Living Dead
Summer Series Round 2: Night of the Living Dead went down last night and it was a blast. A big thank you goes out to Nik and Duncan who consistantly put on the best events in this city. Congratulations to Nick Berry for taking home first place. I would also like to thank Morgan and Travis for shooting this pics that I poached off of Fixed Vancouver.
The crowd of racers and on lookers at the start/finish line.
Starting line for the second heat. (from left to right: Nick B, Me (Tom), Meat, Rob and Pete)
Me out front at the end of the first lap (that didn't last long) Nick Berry close behind and ready to take the win!
Apparently Mike was thinking of riding backwards the whole race and wanted to get a little more aero!
Morgan cresting the hill.
Hooper was absolutely crushing this course and ended up finishing in second place.
Rob's 2001 KHS Flite 100 after going straight into a wall. He was right behind me when it happened and the sound of him hitting the wall was pretty crazy.
Fresh pavement and skidmarks, is there anything better?

Stick to the Union

Yep it is definitely that time of year where races are sprouting up everywhere. If you're in Seattle on April 26th, go mash some gears at the Stick to the Union race. If you're fast enough you might win some Skitch stuff. Big thanks go out to Ryan and all the other organizers for putting this race on, I'm sure it's going to be a blast.

Summer Series 2
Alright, here we go again! Looks like it's race season again with the start of the Summer Series part 2 (A four part series that takes place once a month with a final winner being crowned based on points). April 12th at Bonsor skatepark in Burnaby is event number one, a straight line race back into the downtown Vancouver. There will be a best skid trick competition afterwards and possibly a ramp-to-ramp long jump competition. Come out and have a blast, but don't forget Terrorists hide in suburbs!

Eiichiro "Ten Ten" Temmyo

We'd happily like to announce that we have our first official team rider here at Skitch. Eiichiro "Ten Ten" Temmyo will be riding for Skitch and you'll be able to check him out in our next ad in Cog Magazine. I believe the magazine is scheduled to hit stores sometime in May so look out for that. A web video is also in the works and should drop as soon as the website is completed.

Futura 2000
I just thought I would share this but my KHS Flite 100 was painted on Thursday night by the one and only Futura 2000. To anyone who might not know, he is one of the most famous graffiti artists of all time. He was at the Sneaker Pimps show in Vancouver doing a live painting and afterwards offered to paint my bike. As a huge fan of his I offered it up without a second thought. He loves bikes and did all the artwork for Lance Armstrong’s time trial bikes in the 2005 Tour de France. He also worked as an NYC messenger through the 1980's. This was one of the most amazing events of my life and I was star struck meeting an idol of mine.

Grand Theft Velo II

We're sponsoring Grand Theft Velo 2 in New Haven, Connecticut. Thanks to Drew for putting on the event. If you're in Connecticut in May definitely check this race out, it's going to be awesome.
Also the flyer is amazing, check out the Skitch hoodie on the character in the bottom right, and the Super Champion spoke card on the bike in the bottom left. It looks like Vancouver is gettin' busy on the East Coast.
